Talented teenager Ben Lennon will make his senior league debut for Richmond in Saturday’s match against Melbourne at the MCG.
Lennon, who was taken by the Tigers with their first pick (No. 12 overall) in the 2013 AFL National Draft, has earned his opportunity following a string of impressive performances for Richmond’s VFL side.

The 188cm, 77kg, 18-year-old, played most of his junior football at both suburban club Macleod, and TAC Cup team Northern Knights, as a half-forward/midfielder, but he’s been used effectively across half-back during his first season at Richmond.

There are two other changes to the Tigers’ line-up for the Round 9 match against the Demons, with versatile, ‘tall’ Ben Griffiths and experienced midfielder Nathan Foley being recalled.
They replace Chris Newman, who has been sidelined with a calf injury, with Aaron Edwards and Nathan Gordon both omitted.
The three emergencies for Richmond’s Round 9 team are Gordon, Jake Batchelor and Ricky Petterd.
