Ivan Maric will make his return to the playing field in Richmond’s VFL match at the ME Bank Centre on Saturday morning.
The weekend’s match will be Maric’s first hit-out of the season, after the popular ruckman was sidelined by a foot injury late in the pre-season.
Maric is joined by 17 AFL-listed players in the weekend’s VFL clash against ladder-leaders Box Hill.
The VFL Tigers are coming off a confidence-boosting win against Geelong, but face a Box Hill Hawks side which has been in fine form this season, leading the VFL competition with five wins and a draw this season.
The Tigers will also field strong VFL outfit with the likes of Dylan Grimes, Matt Dea and Ricky Petterd strengthening the backline, as well as midfielder Matt Thomas and forwards Aaron Edwards, Nathan Gordon and Liam McBean all named in the team.
The VFL match begins at 10:40am at the ME Bank Centre, at Punt Road Oval, before Richmond takes on Melbourne at the MCG, which will feature a special pre-game tribute to Tommy Hafey.
Fans are advised there is a strict capacity limit of 2500 patrons for the VFL match due to the on-going redevelopment works around Punt Road Oval.
There will be no access to the Jack Dyer Stand, and no undercover viewing areas. There is also no seating available for the match, however fans can bring their own chair into the match.
