Richmond moved to the positive side of the win-loss ledger in October Grand Finals with its 31-point victory over Geelong in the 2020 premiership-decider at the Gabba.
The Tigers had played in eight AFL/VFL October Grand Finals previously, for four wins and four losses.
Their first Grand Final appearance was in October 1919, when they lost to Collingwood, and their first winning Grand Final came the following October, with success against the Magpies.
Richmond had played Geelong once before this year in an October Grand Final, losing in 1931.
And the last time the Tigers had featured in an October Grand Final, prior to 2020, was in the 1972 goal fest against Carlton.
