Richmond’s Dean Polo will miss next week’s match against Hawthorn after accepting a one-match suspension for striking.

Polo was charged with a level three striking offence against Richard Douglas, during the fourth quarter of Sunday’s match against Adelaide at AAMI Stadium.

The incident was assessed as intentional conduct (three points), medium impact (two points) and body contact (one point).

The offence drew 225 demerit points and a two-game suspension, but Polo’s unblemished record over the past five years allowed him to reduce it to one match with an early guilty plea.
