Marlion Pickett produced his best performance of season 2020 in Richmond’s 27-point victory over Fremantle at Metricon Stadium last Wednesday night.
The fairy tale hero of the Tigers’ 2019 Grand Final triumph, who has steadily been building his form during the past few weeks, playing predominantly on a wing, was excellent against the Dockers.
Pickett finished the match with 19 disposals (second most by any Richmond player on the night), including an equal AFL career-high nine contested possessions, four inside-50s, four intercepts, four score involvements, three marks, three tackles and 351 metres gained.
He had a significant impact for the Tigers throughout the contest with his hard running, ability to find space, strong attack on the ball and creativity by hand and foot.
