No. 5 - Matt White
Round 21, fourth quarter v Fremantle at Patersons Stadium

On a hot afternoon in Perth, facing a match-defining deficit early in the fourth quarter, Matt White stepped up to provide one of the highlights of the season.

Alex Rance repelled a Dockers attack with a clearing kick to the wing, which was contested by Brett O’Hanlon and Adam McPhee.

The ball spilled into the path of White, who swooped, ran by two opponents, sprinted toward goal with three bounces, and unleashed a 50m shot at full pace from an acute angle, which sailed through.
