The 22-year-old played a total of 30 games for the Tigers over four seasons, and kicked six goals.
Post is among several senior-listed players to leave Tigerland at the end of 2012 season, with Angus Graham traded to Adelaide and Kel Moore retiring, following the delistings of Daniel Connors, Jeromey Webberley, Andrew Browne and Dean MacDonald.
Richmond currently has four selections in the first two rounds of the National Draft - 9, 32, 34 and 43.
