Kumho earns stripes with Richmond
Richmond has announced a two-year digital partnership with international tyre giant Kumho Tyres.
As part of the digital partnership, the Kumho brand features sponsorship of various social media initiatives throughout the year, as well as one of Richmond’s home matches at the MCG.
“We’re excited to welcome Kumho Tyres into the Richmond family,” Richmond CEO Brendon Gale said.
“Our digital media platforms are a critical tool for engaging with our members and supporters and we are proud to partner with an equally dynamic brand.
“We look forward to helping each other grow through 2012 and beyond.”
Kumho produces more than 68 million tyres annually, with a massive research and development program which comprises more than 600 research personnel and 300 testing machines at proving grounds in South Korea, China, Europe and North America.
In Australia, Kumho markets an extensive range of tyres for cars, 4WDs, light commercials, trucks and buses, with a network centered around five state locations with the ability to distribute tyres to retailers all across Australia.
Since its inception in 1960, Kumho Tyres has been a model of steady growth amid dramatic changes of business landscape and has become one of the top ten tyre companies in the world.
Kumho Tyres Australia’s National Marketing and Training Manager David Basha said Kumho is proud to be a part of the Richmond culture.
“Richmond has one of the most dedicated supporter bases in the AFL competition and Kumho is excited to be a part of this loyal and passionate culture,” Basha said.
