Richmond young aces Dylan Grimes and Matt Dea will be out to prove their sporting skills are not confined merely to football this Saturday (December 10).
Fresh from their pre-season camp in Arizona, Grimes and Dea will take on some of Victoria’s finest athletes on neutral territory - the tennis court.
The Tiger duo will participate in part one of the Battle of the Codes, a tennis tournament that pits doubles combinations from a wide variety of sporting clubs against each other at Melbourne Park.
Grimes and Dea will compete against the likes of Carlton pair Bryce Gibbs and Jordan Russell, Essendon’s David Zaharakis and Jake Melksham, Melbourne’s Brad Green and Cale Morton, and Western Bulldogs Liam Jones, Will Minson and Tom Williams.
David Hussey and George Bailey will represent Melbourne Stars; Rachel Jarry joins fellow WNBA, Australian Opal and Bulleen Boomer player Liz Cambage; Bianca Chatfield and Madison Browne will fly the flag for Melbourne Vixens; while Ryan Hinchcliffe and David Kidwell will do battle for Melbourne Storm.
Entry to the Battle of the Codes is free, and will be streamed live online. For more information, click here.
