A key aim of the Richmond team going into the 2011 season was to have a greater spread of goalkickers.

That followed Jack Riewoldt winning the Club’s (and competition’s) Leading Goalkicker award in 2010, with 78 goals - a staggering 63 goals ahead of his nearest Tiger teammate, Andrew Collins (now at Carlton).

Rounding out the top six on the Tigers’ goalkicking table for the 2010 season were Ben Nason on 14, Robin Nahas on 13, with Jake King and Mitch Morton both on 12.

Now, with just two rounds of the 2011 season remaining, Richmond has five players, who have scored 20 goals or more - Riewoldt on 58, Ty Vickery 31, Dustin Martin 29, Jake King 24, and Robin Nahas 21.  And, there are another couple of Tiger players approaching the 20-goal mark - Trent Cotchin 17 and Brad Miller 14.

Interestingly, there are only three league teams, who have had more players kick 20-goals plus in the 2011 season - the top two - Collingwood and Geelong, along with eighth-placed side Essendon.

Richmond is in equal fourth place overall (with West Coast) on the 20-goal plus team-by-team goalkicking list for 2011.

That full list is:
8 - Collingwood
7 - Geelong, Essendon
5 - Richmond, West Coast
4 - Brisbane, Fremantle, Melbourne
3 - Adelaide, Carlton, Hawthorn, North Melbourne, St Kilda, Western Bulldogs
2 - Sydney, Port Adelaide
0 - Gold Coast
