Richmond will monitor forward Jack Riewoldt this week, as he recovers from an ankle injury.

Riewoldt landed awkwardly during the first quarter of Saturday’s match against Fremantle, but after a short stint off the field, he returned to play out the remainder of the match.

“Jack had a scan on his right ankle, which showed a very minor ligament strain,” said Richmond’s Elite Performance Manager, Matt Hornsby.

“He will be on light duties for the next few days, and we will monitor his progress throughout the week.”

In-form Tigers’ midfielder Nathan Foley, who missed the Fremantle match with a bruised heel, will also be monitored during the week before a decision is made on his availability for this week’s match against Greater Western Sydney.

Small forward Jake King is available to return to the Richmond line-up after serving a one-week suspension.
