Richmond has put last Saturday’s disappointing loss to Gold Coast well behind it and is totally focused on Sunday’s big Round 17 clash with North Melbourne at the MCG.

“All this week’s been about North Melbourne, said the Tigers’ captain Chris Newman.

“We have a huge challenge against a team that’s in red-hot form. We’re very much looking forward to the challenge and getting back on the MCG . . .

“After last week, we’re looking to bounce back and produce a really solid performance.”

Newman believes Sunday’s match provides Richmond with a great opportunity to make a statement to the football world.

“We have a real chance to stand up and show the competition that we’re still playing some pretty good footy,” he said.
