Ace rebounding defender, Bachar Houli, has been rewarded for his superb display in Richmond’s convincing Round 13 win against the Western Bulldogs, with nine votes from respective coaches Damien Hardwick and Brendan McCartney in the AFLCA’s Player of the Year award.

Houli, who had 13 score involvements in his 25 disposals, received the most votes of any player in last Saturday night’s clash at Etihad Stadium.

Bulldog midfielder Ryan Griffen was awarded eight votes, with five Tiger players occupying the other voting places – Daniel Jackson (four votes), Dustin Martin (three votes), Reece Conca (two votes), Steven Morris (two votes) and Jack Riewoldt (two votes).

Dual Jack Dyer Medallist, Brett Deledio, is the Tigers’ leading vote-getter in the prestigious coaches’ award at this stage of the season.

Deledio is in equal eighth place with 39 votes.
