He’s only been at Tigerland for a short time, but it’s hard to think of Shaun Grigg in anything but the famous Yellow and Black colours.
The hard-running midfielder has risen to another level in the past two seasons, after spending four inconsistent seasons at Carlton.
He has already matched the same number of games at his new Club (43) than he did when he was on the Blues’ list, in exactly half the time.
A rise in confidence, and time spent sharpening some areas of his game, saw the 24-year-old finish fifth in the Jack Dyer Medal, and win the Club’s Most Improved Player award in 2012.

“All the boys have been really good, and the supporters have welcomed me pretty well,” Grigg told Roar Vision.
“I’ve loved my couple of years here, and hopefully there are more into the future.
“I’m a bit more confident now, playing 43 games now for the Tigers. Hopefully I can stay at a consistent level and help the team whatever way they want.”
Grigg is one of a number of mature-aged recruits who have arrived at the ME Bank Centre recently, with Ivan Maric and Bachar Houli also making an instant impact with the Tigers’ legion of fans.
Their inclusions, and the recent return to Punt Road Oval as a training oval after its resurfacing, has Grigg excited about the Tigers’ prospects as the 2013 season draws closer.
“We’re coming together. The game plan with all the coaches is coming along nicely, and we’re improving in a lot of areas,” he said.
“If we can just keep improving, bit by bit, it’s going to hold us in good stead.
“Every team wants to play finals. You’re kidding yourself if you’re not aiming for finals. If we get off to a good start, you never know, so we’ll be aiming for that.”
