It was a day of Richmond records and milestone achievements in last Saturday’s clash with Brisbane at the MCG . . .
The Tigers’ half-time score of 11.7 (73) was their highest first-half total in Damien Hardwick’s four-year reign as coach.
Richmond finished with 424 disposals, which is the most it’s racked up in any game this season.
The crowd of 46,961 smashed the previous best attendance for a match between the two teams by nearly 10,000 (37,438).
When the final siren signaled a 23-point success, the Tigers had clinched their first finals berth since 2001, and only their third since 1982, with win No. 13 for season 2013.
And, that 13th win is the most by Richmond since it last played finals in ’01.
The victory also set a new record for consecutive Tiger wins against Brisbane of five.
