Talented, young Richmond midfielder Reece Conca kicked a career-high, three goals in last Saturday’s finals-clinching win against Brisbane at the MCG, to further underline his impressive development at the game’s highest level.
Conca, who also picked up 21 disposals, including 13 contested possessions, eight score involvements and four clearances, along with an equal-team high six tackles, to be one of the Tigers’ best on the day, earned praise from coach, Damien Hardwick, at his post-match press conference.
“He (Conca) has got an uncanny ability to find the goals, which is good, but the other thing is he’s a very good clearance player/contested-ball player, as well. So we flip between the two,” Hardwick said.

“The good thing about him is he’s maturing as a player.
“He’s going to be a good player for a period of time for us.
“We certainly look forward to some more upside from him.”
Conca, who turns 21 today (August 12), is averaging 18.8 disposals per game in his third season of AFL football.
After being taken by Richmond with its first selection (No. 6 overall) in the 2010 National Draft, he has played 48 league games.
