Individual achievement is not featuring prominently in key Richmond defender Troy Chaplin’s planning for Saturday’s match against Adelaide at the MCG.
Despite reaching league football’s 150-game milestone in the big Round 12 clash, Chaplin’s primary aim is helping the Tigers secure victory in a match crucial to their finals prospects.
“To be honest, I have not really focused on the milestone. The game, in the context of our season, is really important,” Chaplin told ‘The Ballarat Courier’.
“The 100s and 200s are a little more important as milestones, but I am still proud to reach 150.
“Every team wants to be playing finals and Richmond is known for perennially just missing out.
“That’s why this game is so important.
“We need to stay ahead of the 50-50 (win-loss) mark.”
