A Dustin Martin long bomb against Sydney in Round 18 has been voted the third best goal of the year by Richmond fans.
The Tigers were away from home against the reigning premier, and Martin helped set the tone early in the match when he got involved twice in a sweeping move from defence.
Martin took possession on the defensive 50 metre line, sprinted forward of the play and received a handpass from Nathan Foley.
From 55 metres, tucked up against the boundary line, he cleared the pack in the goal square to keep Richmond in touch late in the first quarter.
The number two goal of the year, as voted by Richmond fans, will be revealed tomorrow, Thursday, September 26.
