Key Richmond ruckman Ivan Maric has expressed his empathy for the Tiger Army in the wake of another disappointing loss last round, which sees the team with just three wins at the halfway mark of the season.

The Tigers suffered a 28-point defeat at the hands of North Melbourne last Sunday, after leading by six goals at half-time.

“They’re fantastic supporters and they’ve been patient for a long time.  The game’s unfair at times to the fans . . ,” Maric said.

“They come to training and support us and keep coming to games, so they’re doing a fantastic job.”

Maric is convinced the Tigers can turn their season around – starting with Saturday’s challenging match against last year’s Grand Finalist Fremantle at the MCG.

“We can win – there’s no doubt about it.  But it’s all about four quarters, contested footy, defending honestly,” he said.
