While Richmond fans were celebrating a mighty 11-point win over the previously undefeated Gold Coast on Saturday night, the Thomas family were celebrating something even more priceless.

For their son Harry, who has been battling Leukaemia, Saturday night was all about his love for Richmond, encapsulated in one unforgettable moment.

Post-match in the rooms, Richmond midfielder Tim Taranto made a beeline for Harry and his sister, to whisk them into the celebrations and the team song.

Holding Taranto's hand tightly, Harry joined in as the boys sang a stirring rendition, marking the Club's second win of the AFL season.

But it didn't end there.

When it was all over, Taranto hoisted Harry high in his arms, as his teammates came swarming in to celebrate the youngster.

The youngster was beaming.

It was a moment the Thomas family will never forget, and one that brings a joy that can't be replicated.

Harry's mum, Melissa, expressed her gratitude to the Club and Taranto for the experience post match.

"It was the first time life wasn't about cancer, hospitals and medicine since before his diagnosis," she told Richmond Media.

"Personally, it was the first time I've felt truly happy again, seeing the joy in Harry's eyes."

Harry was Richmond's Round 6 junior mascot, also running through the banner with the team before the Marvel Stadium clash.
