Richmond star Brett Deledio has been charged by the AFL’s Match Review Panel with a Level Three Striking Offence (225 demerit points, two-match sanction) for striking Geelong’s Matthew Stokes during the second quarter of the Tigers’ Round 7 match on Sunday.
Due to Deledio’s six-year good record, the two-match sanction can be reduced to a one-game penalty with an early plea.
The Club has until 11am on Tuesday to challenge the charge.
