Richmond’s 2014 season has come to an end, at the hands of a rampant Port Adelaide in the elimination final on Sunday.

The Tigers were eliminated in the first week of the finals for the second successive year, this time by 57 points.

The Power’s victory was set up by an eight goal to one opening term, which led to a 42-point lead at the first change.

The trend continued in the second, as Richmond was restricted to three first half goals and the deficit grew to an unassailable 69 points by half time.

The Tigers kicked nine goals in the second half, including five in the final term – two of those coming from the boot of spearhead Jack Riewoldt, who finished with three majors for the match.

Nathan Gordon was the only other multiple goalkicker for the visitors, with two, to go with 16 disposals and four tackles.

Conversely, Port Adelaide has 11 individual goalkickers, led by three from Jake Neade.

Brett Deledio and Dustin Martin worked tirelessly for Richmond, each amassing 29 disposals, while Bachar Houli (27 possessions) provided customary run from defence, Anthony Miles (24 disposals) continued his fine season and Trent Cotchin won a team-high six clearances.
