Winning will remain Richmond’s focus throughout the second half of the 2014 season.

Although the Tigers have just three wins on the board at the season’s midway mark, and are in 13th  place on the league ladder, coach Damien Hardwick is adamant they won’t place player development above striving for on-field success.

“The majority of our young players are playing now.  We’ve got a couple of guys that we’d like to play, but they’re injured . . . Our focus is still on winning footy games,” Hardwick said.

“We’re a better side than 3-8.  Our record will indicate otherwise, but we feel we’re a better side than that.

“We’ll just continue to work out way through it and try and get some wins on the board because that’s really important for our footy club . . . there’s no white flag.

“We’ve just got to continue to fight, and that’s what AFL footy’s about.

“It’s not about finishing as close as you can to the bottom, it’s keep trying to march up that ladder and get the results that we’re after.”
