Richmond captain Trent Cotchin received the most votes from the coaches in last Saturday’s match between the Tigers and Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium.

Respective coaches Damien Hardwick (Richmond) and Brendan McCartney (Western Bulldogs) awarded Cotchin nine votes (out of a possible 10) in the AFL Coaches Association’s 2014 Player of the Year award, for his excellent performance.

Cotchin had 28 disposals, including 19 contested possessions, 11 clearances, five inside-50 entries, and a goal.
