Richmond has enjoyed a business-as-usual approach to this Sunday’s elimination final against Port Adelaide.
The Tigers will play their second final in as many years this weekend, and the players have followed a familiar routine in the lead-up to the knockout game at Adelaide Oval.
“It has been exactly the same for us. Sessions will remain closed, we’ll go over there and train on Saturday and everything remains in-house,” Richmond coach Damien Hardwick told the media on Thursday.

“We’ve been playing elimination finals now for the last five weeks, so nothing has changed from our point of view.
“Good form is good form though, that’s the positive. Our guys are playing a sustainable brand of footy that we think is capable of winning big games in finals.
“Last week was the same, it was a highly contested game. It was hard and tough in close and we’re really pleased we’re going to get that same sort of game this week.

“Our guys are incredibly fit. Every side will tell you they had a tough pre-season, but we’re really pleased with the fitness of our guys. We’re one of the best time-in-front (teams) the last nine weeks with 88 per cent. So we’ve got no fears with regard to our fitness. And Port will be the same.
Hardwick said the key for Richmond was getting more consistency out of its next rung of players, including Brandon Ellis, Nick Vlastuin and Reece Conca, who were primed to take their games to a new level in finals.
"They're all young, they're inexperienced, but more importantly they're starting to perform in big games and this is going to be a big game for them," he said.
"We're looking forward to that challenge, I'm sure they are, and it's going to be what helps us win the game."
