Brett Deledio’s solo run and long bomb in Round 1 has been voted the eighth best goal of the year by Richmond fans.
Deledio finished a sweeping move from deep in defence, to give the Tigers a handy 37-point lead early in the third quarter against the Blues.
From a Troy Chaplin pass, Chris Newman pounced on the loose ball and fired a handball to Deledio, who took three bounces, approached the 50m line and launched a long ball which cleared the goal line.
The number seven goal of the year, as voted by Richmond fans, will be revealed tomorrow, Thursday September 19.
