Richmond’s capacity to bounce back from defeat has been a key feature of its 2013 season.
The Tigers’ best wins in 2013 have come the week after a loss.
They beat Port Adelaide by 41 points at AAMI Stadium in Round 7, rebounding from a 44-point defeat at the hands of Geelong in Round 6.

Then, in Round 10, they went in as clear outsiders against West Coast at Patersons Stadium, on the back of a disappointing 29-point loss to Essendon in the Round 9 Dreamtime game, only to emerge with a convincing 41-point victory over the Eagles.
Richmond’s biggest loss of the season was to North Melbourne by 62 points at Etihad Stadium in Round 15. But the following week, it eclipsed Gold Coast in Cairns (for the first time) by nine points.
Last Saturday, the Tigers scored an impressive 41-point win against 2012 Grand Finalist Hawthorn, at the MCG, showing they had learned plenty from their 47-point loss to reigning premier Sydney, at the SCG in the previous round.
