Richmond is dedicating its Round 20 match against the Brisbane Lions to recognising those who have made significant contributions to the Fighting Tiger Fund (FTF).
The players will wear a specially-designed ‘Strong and Bold’ guernsey, emblazoned with the names of contributors who took-up the Club’s special offer to show their support to the Fighting Tiger Fund.
Richmond’s valued partner, Caydon, a Melbourne property developer, is showing its support to the Club by matching, dollar-for-dollar, all donations made to the FTF at Saturday’s game.
Caydon will also donate $1000 for every goal kicked by Richmond players in Saturday’s clash against the Brisbane Lions.
The Fighting Tiger Fund has already made great contributions to the Richmond Football Club, helping to fund the redevelopment of Punt Road Oval, bolster the football department with experienced coaching and resources, plus other significant contributions.
The next stage of the FTF is to raise funds to redevelop the interface around the ground at the ME Bank Centre, including OH&S compliance, adequate ground access, change room facilities and viewing platforms, with the ultimate goal to bring VFL football games back to Punt Road Oval.
To donate to the FTF, there will be a number of dedicated donation boxes with staff, outside Gate 3 at the MCG and at ‘Before the Pounce’, at the ME Bank Centre. If you can’t make the game, but would like to support the FTF, click here to donate.
Other activities on the MCG concourse include a DJ, roving performer, street art and players at the ‘FTF Zone’, and pre-match ‘Before the Pounce’ family activities at the ME Bank Centre, from 11am.
