The VFLW Tigers will open their 2020 season against the Western Bulldogs at VU Whitten Oval, on Saturday, May 16 at 2.00pm.
Off the back of the Club’s inaugural AFLW season, the Tigers will be looking to build on a successful 2019 VFLW campaign, which included progressing to their first ever final.
As per the fixture, Richmond will play seven home games at the Swinburne Centre in 2020.
Following a Round 1 bye, the Tigers will play their first home game against Essendon on Saturday, May 23 at 11.15am.
The game will be played as part of a Richmond v Essendon triple header, with the VFL, VFLW and AFL teams all playing within the precinct on Saturday May 25. The VFL and VFLW sides will meet at the Swinburne Centre before the headline Dreamtime at the ‘G match.
There will also be an additional VFLW/VFL double header at the Swinburne Centre on Sunday, June 28, with the VFLW Tigers set to face the Cats at 2.45pm following Richmond VFL’s clash with Geelong at 11.45am.
The Tigers’ second bye will come in Round 6.
Sides that Richmond will come up against twice in 2020 include the Western Bulldogs, Geelong and North Melbourne.
