Richmond’s ability to overcome various obstacles throughout games, and still emerge with the precious four premiership points, highlights the significant growth within the team, according to the Tigers’ captain Trent Cotchin.

“The great thing about our year so far, and there’s still a long way to go, is we’ve won in a number of different ways,” Cotchin said on this week’s edition of the Club’s official podcast ‘Talking Tigers’.

$5 from every adult ticket sold to Sunday's match with St Kilda will be donated to the Maddie Riewoldt Vision Foundation.

“In the past, since I’ve been at the footy club, it’s (winning) been more about the confidence (within the playing group on match day).  You’re up and about  . . . you’re up at half-time, you feel like you can run out the game, and so forth.

“But (this season) there’ve been games where we’ve been down by big margins and been able to run over sides.

“There have been games where we’ve been up and been able to hold off sides.  There’s been different ways we’ve been challenged.

“But then, the flipside of that, is the games where we were really disappointing for big chunks of the game.

“That’s what we’ve tried to switch around.”
