Key playmaker Shane Edwards made a solid return to the playing field in Richmond’s win against Collingwood at the MCG last Saturday.
Edwards, who had missed five games due to a hairline fracture of his leg, picked up 17 disposals, including eight contested possessions and three clearances, before being ‘subbed’ out in the final quarter.

“We were hoping to get 70 percent game time into him . . . I think he played 71, so it worked out well in the end,” Richmond coach Damien Hardwick said.
“He was a little bit rusty at the start, but started to find the ball and his consistency of performance after that.
“So, he’s going to be better for the run next week.
“He’s an important player to our side, so we’ve just got to make sure we continue to get the game time and the work into him.”
