Ivan Maric’s soccer strike against Sydney has been voted the 8th best goal of the 2015 season by Richmond fans.

There was less than three minutes of time remaining in the Round 13 game against the Swans at the SCG, with the Tigers leading by just six points.

Trent Cotchin launched a long ball inside 50, where it looked like Jack Riewoldt would win the race ahead of Dane Rampe and Heath Grundy.

The two Swans made a desperate dive at the ball, taking themselves and Riewoldt out of the contest, then, as the ball lay stationary in the goalsquare, Maric waltzed in and side-footed the ball across the line like a soccer penalty.

The number seven goal of the year, as voted by Richmond fans, will be revealed tomorrow, Tuesday September 29.
