Richmond’s General Manager of Football, Dan Richardson, has expressed the Club’s delight at the appointment of Craig McRae as its VFL coach.
The Tigers announced on Thursday that the triple Brisbane premiership player would be taking the coaching reins of their VFL team, replacing Tim Clarke, who has joined Carlton as an assistant coach.
“It’s terrific news,” Richardson told SEN.
“Craig, of course, was at the Club a number of years back before going to Brisbane and being head of Collingwood’s development program these past five years.
“So, he comes into that role with a wealth of experience.
“And I know there are a number of players here as well, that were around when he was last at the Tiges, that are really looking forward to having him back.”
McRae, for his part, is thrilled to be returning to Richmond.
Excited to have officially signed with @Richmond_FC today as VFL coach. Looking forward to being back at Tigerland.
