Richmond veteran Chris Newman will make his return from injury in the Tigers’ VFL team this weekend.
Newman has missed the last three games with a groin injury, and is expected to play reduced minutes in the VFL, against Werribee at Avalon Airport Oval on Saturday.
He will be joined in the Richmond squad by forward Liam McBean, who returns from the AFL, and Matt Thomas, who missed last week’s loss against Essendon.
Richmond comes up against one of the in-form sides of the competition in Werribee, which has won five of its seven games so far.
