Richmond’s VFL side has received a defensive boost ahead of its Round 10 clash against Werribee this Sunday.
The VFL Tigers will be bolstered by the inclusion of veteran defender Troy Chaplin, who returns from senior duties.
Youngster Connor Menadue and Liam McBean will again add strength to the side’s forward line, while VFL-listed midfielder Nick Mellington returns from a two-week stint on the sidelines through injury.
Richmond’s VFL side will set out for redemption when it hosts Werribee at Punt Road Oval as a curtain-raiser to the AFL side’s clash against Gold Coast.
The VFL Tigers battled in trying conditions in last Sunday’s Round 9 match against Coburg, ultimately going down by 33 points.
Richmond tall Ivan Soldo was concussed in the hit-out and will watch this Sunday’s match from the sidelines.
Craig McRae’s side is in pursuit of its third win of the season and sits 13th on the ladder, while Werribee sits ninth following four successful outings.
Saturday’s match kicks off at 12:30pm, with gates opening at 11:30am
