Talented, tall Tiger forward Ty Vickery considers his form so far this season as being reflective of the team’s overall performance.

The 25-year-old veteran of 106 league games with Richmond, has kicked seven goals in four matches, but feels he has scope for a fair bit of improvement.

“I think I’ve probably had some (good) patches, but throughout the whole game, haven’t been as consistent as I need to be,” he said at a Punt Road press conference earlier today.

 “I’ve got a role to play up forward. 

“I need to keep getting to contests and making them for the other players around . . . and being really strong in them.”

Vickery provided a rational response to a question about how the Tigers were coping with rising external pressure, because of their slow start to season 2016 . . .

“At the end of the day, Melbourne’s a football city.  There are a lot of teams and a massive amount of fans,” he said.

“We play for a really big club and, because of that, there’s scrutiny, there’s expectation, there’s everything. 

“It’s no more, or no less than any other year, and it’s what we thrive on – that we’re part of such a big club in such a big industry.”
