Star Richmond key forward Jack Riewoldt has been cleared by the AFL’s Match Review Panel of a rough conduct charge from last Saturday’s final JLT Community Series clash with Collingwood at Moe.
Riewoldt was reported by field umpire Robert Findlay for engaging in rough conduct with a late hit on Magpie Jackson Ramsay during the second quarter of the game.
The MRP, however, declared that Riewoldt had “slowed down when he realised he could not take the mark” and contact was made to Ramsay’s chest.
“The contact was not unreasonable in the circumstances,” the Panel stated in its findings.
