Dual Geelong premiership star, and now respected football commentator, Cameron Mooney, is convinced Richmond’s mature-age midfield recruit Dion Prestia will provide the Tigers’ line-up with a huge boost in season 2017.
Prestia was traded to Richmond late last year, after playing 95 games in six seasons for Gold Coast.
He averaged 23.5 disposals per game throughout his time with the Suns and was their vice-captain from 2014-16.
Mooney rates the 24-year-old extremely highly and believes he slots straight in among the top-end talent at Tigerland.
“I think he almost walks in there. He’s a very, very good player,” Mooney said on SEN.
“If you haven’t seen a lot of the Gold Coast games – and a lot of people haven’t – he is a genuine superstar in the making.
“He’s a really good player.”
