Two key Tiger forwards headline the returns for Saturday’s VFL clash against Werribee at Frankston Oval.
Ben Griffiths is set to make his return from concussion after being named in the extended VFL squad. Griffiths' most recently appeared for the VFL Tigers in their Round 2 victory over Sandringham.
He will be joined by the VFL Tigers' leading goal kicker Ben Lennon, who has recovered from a hamstring injury sustained at the end of June.
With 52 combined goals at AFL level between them, their inclusion bolsters Craig McRae’s side, which has rallied to win four consecutive matches, including victories over Geelong, Northern Blues, Essendon and Casey.
Also included in the extended squad are Taylor Hunt and Tyson Stengle, who return from AFL duties.
The VFL Tigers will be keen to redeem themselves against their Tiger namesakes, with Werribee taking the points in their most recent clash at Beaconsfield in Round 7.
With both sides locked on seven wins each, the fixture also presents an opportunity to cement a position inside an increasingly competitive top eight.
“It’s been a while since we’ve been down there, but I think the boys like travelling down to Frankston,” Richmond development coach Ryan Ferguson told 'Roar Vision' on Tuesday.
“It’s definitely important that we come ready to defend first, and hopefully open up some opportunities to score.”
The opening bounce at Frankston Oval will take place at 2pm on Saturday.
