Star Richmond key forward Jack Riewoldt is fully aware the Tigers have to take their game to an even higher level next season if they are to stay ahead of the pack.
That, however, is a challenge Riewoldt and his teammates are eagerly looking forward to taking on.
“We have to get better . . . it’s really hard to repeat. So we know that we need to get better,” Riewoldt said on SEN.
“But that’s the thing I think, as a senior player, I’m most excited about . . .
“We probably had six guys that could have easily fitted into that side and played the role that we needed . . . the likes of Sam Lloyd, Jayden Short and Anthony Miles.
“Those guys are players that could have easily played on Grand Final day for us as well.
“So there’s that, as well as the two first round picks we have . . . To get some new talent in, and maybe a young, key forward is really exciting . . .
“The age demographic of the group certainly tends to us, hopefully, getting better.”
