Richmond has officially reached the 60,000 membership mark, for the first time in its history.
The milestone figure represents a 43% rise in total members – almost 18,000 – since the first year of the Club’s strategic plan in 2010.
Richmond becomes just the third club in VFL/AFL history to sign 60,000 members in a season.
“The members are the most important thing about the Richmond Football Club,” said Richmond’s CEO Brendon Gale.
“We don’t just exist for our members, we actually exist because of our members.
“We believe we have the most loyal, passionate and committed fans in the league. We can never question the level of support they have given us over the years, and we never underestimate the power of the Tiger Army.
“As a Club, we work extremely hard to give our members the best Richmond experience, whether it’s through our communications channels, match-day activations or support services.
“A few years ago, we set some ambitious goals for membership, and so far we are on track to meet them. We still have a long way to go to achieve both our on-field and off-field goals, however this milestone is an indication that we are on the right.
