Those Richmond players that were part of last Friday night’s qualifying final success have extra reason to maintain high intensity levels at training throughout this week, according to key midfielder Shaun Grigg.
The Tigers’ AFL team is through to the preliminary final on Saturday week (September 23), but their VFL side is preparing for a preliminary final against Box Hill this Saturday, so it’s all hands on deck right now at Punt Road Oval’s Swinburne Centre.

“We want to train as well as we can to give those guys the best preparation for their game,” Grigg said on this week’s episode of the Club’s official podcast ‘Talking Tigers’.
“It’ll be business as usual while we’re here . . .
“We’re here to train hard and support those guys.”
Richmond great Matthew Richardson believes the current healthy state of the Tigers’ playing list is crucial to their prospects at the business end of season 2017.
“If you’re playing in the senior team at the moment, you know that if your form drops away you probably go out of the team. So there’s pressure for positions,” he said on Talking Tigers.
