Star key forward Jack Riewoldt features in Richmond’s top 10 goals of season 2017 for a second time, courtesy of his superb six-pointer during the last quarter of the Round 4 match against Brisbane at the Gabba.
With the Tigers holding a commanding lead, Riewoldt applied strong defensive pressure to spoil a marking attempt by his Lion opponent from a teammate’s risky kick across.
Once the ball hit the deck, Riewoldt was on to it in a flash and, despite being tucked up against the forward pocket boundary line, again showcased his silky skills, by cleverly guiding the ball from his left foot, on the bounce, over the goal line.
That goal has been voted the Tigers’ seventh best of their 2017 premiership year by Yellow and Black barrackers.
The sixth and fifth best Richmond goals of the year, as voted on by Tiger fans, will be revealed tomorrow, Wednesday, October 25.
