Former Suns young guns Dion Prestia, Josh Caddy and Tom Lynch will be hoping to add significantly to their combined games tally as teammates, now that they all have been reunited at Richmond.
The trio played a total of 12 games together in the same Gold Coast side, all of them during the 2012 season, with the last occasion being Round 19 that year against Melbourne at the MCG (Suns lost by 42 points).
Prestia was playing his 31st AFL game that day and was 19 years, 298 days old, it was Caddy’s 20th game and he was 19 years, 312 days old, while for Lynch it was game No. 26 and he was 19 years, 279 days old.
Other Gold Coast players in that match included Gary Ablett, Campbell Brown, Harley Bennell, Charlie Dixon, Karmichael Hunt, Zac Smith and Mav Weller.
Earlier in that 2012 season, Prestia, Caddy and Lynch teamed up with ex-Saint Andrew McQualter, who is now a Richmond assistant coach.
That quartet played two games together all-up for the Suns – in Round 8 v Western Bulldogs at Darwin’s TIO Stadium and Round 9 v Port Adelaide at Metricon Stadium.
Prestia played 95 games overall with Gold Coast from 2011-16, Caddy 24 games, 2011-12, Lynch 131 games, 2011-18, and McQualter five games, 2012.
