Star Richmond midfielder Dion Prestia has outlined how important a factor a strong, team-first attitude is to the Tigers achieving success.
“I think that’s the best thing about our club. We don’t ever talk about the possessions, or how each other’s form is. It’s just a team game,” Prestia told K rock Football after Richmond’s 38-point victory over Port Adelaide at the MCG last Saturday.
“It takes a bit of the edge off . . . you don’t have to be getting 30 possessions and kicking lots of goals to stay in the team.
“As long as you’re playing your role, you know that you’re going to stay in this team.
“I don’t think we ever really get high possession numbers, or anything like that.
“It’s just an overall, well-balanced, team game.”
