Richmond will gain plenty from last Friday night’s rousing come-from-behind win against Sydney at the SCG, according to the Tigers’ spirited ruckman Ivan Maric.

“It gives us a lot of belief,” Maric told Fox Footy.

“Last week (v West Coast) we were pretty rusty, but if you look at the last, probably six weeks, we’ve been really competitive, and that’s what we want to be.

“We want to be competitive no matter what. 

“Even if things aren’t going our way, with interchange infringements and that sort of thing, you’ve just got to keep a cool head and keep attacking the footy, especially in slippery conditions.

“Finals footy’s going to be contested, and Sydney are the best at it . . . they have been for over a decade. 

“So we want to keep building on that, and we’ll see what the future holds for us.”
