A key positive feature of Richmond’s spirited performance against reigning premier Brisbane at the MCG last Saturday was the fact that the team’s five multiple goalkickers in the match were all young players, with a total of just 67 AFL games between them.

Seth Campbell (25 games), Sam Banks (24 games), Steely Green (10 games), Harry Armstrong (four games) and Sam Lalor (four games) kicked two goals apiece in the Tigers’ 28-point loss to the Lions.

After four rounds of the 2025 season, Campbell is Richmond’s leading goalkicker with nine goals, followed by Lalor, five goals and Armstrong, four goals.

Campbell provided an insight into the Tigers’ exciting, new forward structure during a post-match interview with Richmond Media.

“I think we’re just connecting really well with ‘Lynchy’ (Tom Lynch) down there just barking orders at us, which is good – bit of experience – and Steely, Harry and Sammy to get on to a couple, and that energy,” Campbell said.

“Every time we kick a goal, we’re up and about. It doesn’t matter the score.”
