Midfielder Tyler Sonsie has earned a recall into the side, after notching up 34 disposals and booting a goal in the VFL’s 13-point Round 1 win over Coburg.
Meantime, Tom Lynch makes his return to the side after serving his one match ban for striking Carlton’s Tom De Koning in Round 1.
He’ll replace Liam Fawcett in the forward line.
Lynch will rejoin Sam Lalor and Jacob Bauer, alongside small forwards Rhyan Mansell, Steely Green and Seth Campbell.
Sonsie’s move back to AFL level comes as Sam Banks is forced out of the side due to concussion sustained in Round 2 against Port Adelaide.
VFL Senior Coach Jake Batchelor had high praise for Sonsie’s efforts against the Lions, after he nabbed 10 clearances in Beaconsfield.
“A strong performance around the centre bounce, 16 ground ball gets and 20 contested possessions,” Batchelor said.
“He stayed around the ball strongly, was lean below his feet and was a real leader in our midfield.”
After a dominant Round 2 performance, Jacob Blight holds his spot in the backline, alongside Ben Miller, Nathan Broad, Jayden Short, Nick Vlastuin and Tom Brown.
Sonsie makes up the interchange, alongside Luke Trainor and Harry Armstrong in their third game, as well as Kaleb Smith and Jack Ross.
The substitute will be announced an hour before the first bounce.
Maurice Rioli, Kane McAuliffe and Samson Ryan round out the extended squad as emergencies.
Richmond face St Kilda at Marvel Stadium on Saturday from 4.15pm.
The match will be broadcast live of Fox Footy and Kayo Sports.
