Richmond Football Club has informed players Amelia Peck, Jemima Woods and Molly Eastman that they will not be offered contracts for the 2025 AFLW season.
Ruck Tamara Luke has also announced that she will be stepping back into retirement, after joining the Club as a replacement player in August.
Woods played 13 games across three seasons with Richmond after she joined the Club as a delisted free agent from the Western Bulldogs where she played two games in 2022.
The 21-year-old utility made her sole appearance for the 2024 season in the opening round against West Coast.
Eastman, 26, played 10 games for Richmond after crossing from Sydney ahead of the 2023 season.
The defender/wing made two senior appearances in 2024, averaging 5.5 disposals. Eastman departs Richmond with 20 AFLW games to her name.
Peck made her debut in the final round of the 2023 season, having joined the Club as a replacement player prior to Season 7.
The 24-year-old key defender unfortunately suffered a knee injury this season and was unable to add to her sole appearance at AFLW level.
Luke proved a handy inclusion for the Tigers in 2024, with the veteran ruck playing a career-high seven AFLW matches and booting three goals.
The 36-year-old averaged 5.1 disposals and 13.7 hit outs per game and featured in the Elimination Final loss to Port Adelaide.
Richmond Head of Women’s Football, Kate Sheahan thanked the players for their commitment and effort while at the Club.
“Unfortunately, at this time of year we need to make tough decisions for our 2025 list, and as part of that Amelia, Jemima and Molly will not receive contracts for next year,” she said.
“We thank all three girls for their contribution across multiple years with us and we wish them all the best for the future.”
Sheahan added thanks to Tamara Luke for her season.
“We could not have asked for much more from Tam as a replacement player on the eve of the season,” she said.
“Tam bolstered our ruck stocks and gave us a target forward of the ball, but she also had a big impact off the field in her short time with us.
“We wish her well and she should be very proud of her AFLW career.”
