Richmond superstar Monique Conti will add to her extraordinary resume on Thursday night when she becomes the first Tiger to reach 50 AFLW games for the Club.
The gun 24-year-old will achieve the milestone when her side takes on Carlton at Ikon Park in the Week 4 clash.
The decorated midfielder, who has 62 AFLW games to her name overall after commencing her career at the Western Bulldogs, has only missed one possible game for the Tigers (Round 6, 2021) since they entered the competition in 2020.
Conti, who recently put pen to paper on a fresh three-year extension, tying her to the Club until at least the end of 2027, is also set to become the Club’s inaugural AFLW player to be awarded with Richmond Life Membership.
A five-time AFLW All-Australian and five-time Richmond best and fairest winner, Conti won the AFLW Player-voted MVP in 2022 and was Runner-Up in the League Medal.
She then went one better in 2023 to be crowned the League Best and Fairest and further etch her name in the AFLW history books.
Richmond AFLW midfield coach Shaun Hampson described Conti as a "once in a generational player and athlete".
"(Her) list (of accolades) is getting pretty long there," Hampson said.
"She is just a phenomenal player. She just wants to win and I think that's where she's so good and what her superpower is, she really hates to lose.
"She's got lateral movement, she's got speed, she's got polish, she's the total package, but it's her will to win.
"To get 50 games for the Richmond footy club, and 50 very good ones too... It's just a credit to the type of player she is."
Close behind Conti to reach the mark is inaugural Tiger Gabby Seymour, who will notch her 50th game in the colours the following week at Ikon Park against Port Adelaide, while Grace Egan will play her 50th game overall in the clash.
